REACTIVEDOTS, the production studio of Simpol. the reactive agency, signs the launch commercial for the Kappa Gyra Elite.

Italian heritage and contemporary performance unite in a story of material, movement, and design.

"Every detail has a function. Every function finds a form". This principle is the foundation of the launch spot for Kappa Gyra Elite, the new Kappa football boot, designed to combine performance, Italian craftsmanship, and contemporary design. The spot, created by REACTIVEDOTS, a production and creative development studio by Simpol. the reactive agency, brings to life a visual narrative that evokes emotion without sacrificing technical precision.

The challenge: showcasing technicality without being didactic

Launching a new football boot means engaging with a visual language that is often highly codified: action, speed, the pitch, performance. The challenge entrusted to the agency was to highlight the boot's technical features through an elegant, essential and deeply rooted in the culture of Italian design.

For Gyra Elite, REACTIVEDOTS therefore chose to start with the material, the function, and the product construction, transforming technical features into narrative elements.

The agency's response: back to the source

The creative concept is based on returning to the origin of the shoe: a visual journey through material, anatomy, and function, transforming technical features into narrative elements.

The shoe was presented as a design object, where performance and beauty coexist. The commercial opens in the middle of the action and then reverses time, tracing back from gesture to form, from form to structure, down to the anatomical and design origins of Gyra Elite.

The voice-over was written in tandem with the commercial's narrative structure: an essential, controlled voice, built on concise concepts and complementary to the visuals and on-screen copy. Writing designed to leave room for the visual material, the details, and the tension of the movement.

The visual direction translated these principles into a universe made of surfaces, engravings, leather, anatomy, and tension. Italian sporting heritage, at the core of the product identity, was evoked as a visual memory and reinterpreted with a contemporary twist, in line with the Kappa Gyra Elite philosophy.

Production: live-action footage, photography, and generative AI.

To create the commercial, the agency developed a Hybrid Production workflow where live-action footage, photographic references, generative AI, and compositing coexist within the same creative process. A production built not to replace reality, but to extend it, control it, and bring it into a cohesive visual landscape.

The shoe was photographed using macro shots focused on textures, materials, and details, ensuring product fidelity at every stage. The talent's poses, movements, and actions were instead filmed live, creating a physical foundation to be reinterpreted through AI and maintain continuity across different visual generations.

Image generation, post-production, and final editing were coordinated under a single creative direction. The technology has become part of the language: a tool to be guided with precision to build a continuous, recognizable commercial that stays true to the shoe.

The result is an essential and tactile design film, conceived to tell the story of the shoe's creation, explore its structure, and convey the connection between athletic movement, anatomy, materials, and Italian design culture.

Distribution: from the web to the stadiums

The commercial was designed from the start to adapt to the main launch touchpoints: website, social channels, retail stores and LED stadium banners. A single visual language, adapted for different contexts and capable of maintaining the same narrative strength even in settings where the commercial is viewed for only a few seconds or without sound.

From macro details to the large scale of the stadium, the commercial thus becomes the central asset of the shoe's launch communication: a story designed to combine impact, recognizability, and precision.

“With Gyra Elite, we worked on a highly technical product, but one with a very strong visual and design identity. The challenge was to convey its performance without falling into the most predictable tropes of sports communication, instead building an essential, tactile, and contemporary language. Hybrid production allowed us to combine live-action footage, generative AI, and compositing under a single creative direction, always keeping product fidelity at the center. It is a project that well represents how we view production today: innovation, technology, creative control, and vision in the service of a coherent story.”
