Italian heritage, contemporary performance: Gyra Elite is the new football boot from Kappa, designed to blend performance, Italian craftsmanship, and design. For its launch, we were tasked with transforming a highly technical product into a compelling story, using an entirely new visual language.
Launching a new football boot on the market by highlighting its innovation, materials, and build quality, while standing out from an increasingly uniform industry tone. The challenge was to elevate every technical feature through a refined, essential narrative deeply rooted in Italian design culture.
We created a design film that tells the story of the boot's creation through an essential and tactile language. A project developed through creative direction, voice-over, AI, live action, and compositing, where every technology serves the story.
CONCEPT
To tell the story of Gyra Elite, we started with the product: a boot where performance is never separated from beauty, and where every element is born with a precise function.
From this principle, we developed the narrative structure of the spot: opening in the heat of the action and progressively reversing time, moving through the boot until reaching its anatomical and design origins.
The voice-over was developed alongside this structure. Not a description of technical features, but a voice capable of giving them meaning through brief concepts that complement the images and on-screen copy.
The writing also allowed us to define the rhythm of the spot and its tone: essential, controlled, with space for sound design and visual texture.
The moodboard translated these principles into a universe of surfaces, engravings, leather, anatomy, and tension. Even the references to the Italian sporting heritage that inspired the product remained a visual legacy, reinterpreted in a contemporary key rather than told literally. A choice consistent with the Gyra philosophy, which Kappa itself defines as the meeting of Italian heritage and contemporary performance.

PRODUCTION
To transform the concept into images, we built a production workflow that integrates different techniques within the same spot.
The project stems from a hybrid production approach, where live footage, photographic references, and generative AI coexist within the same creative process.
The boot was photographed from multiple angles and through macros dedicated to textures, materials, and details to ensure maximum product fidelity. Similarly, the talent's poses, movements, and actions were filmed in real life, creating a solid foundation to be reinterpreted through AI while maintaining consistency between generations.
From image generation to post-production, and through to the final edit synchronized with the voice-over, every phase was guided by the same creative direction. This transformed technology not into a shortcut, but into a tool to be directed, combined, and corrected to achieve a result that is visually seamless and faithful to the product.
DISTRIBUTION
The commercial was designed to live across all key touchpoints for the Gyra Elite launch—website, social media channels, retail stores, and stadium LED banners—while maintaining a consistent narrative impact.
For this reason, every choice, from the editing pace and voiceover to the technical on-screen copy, was crafted to work both in immersive viewing experiences with audio and in contexts where the video is seen for only a few seconds or without sound.
A unified visual language, capable of adapting to different touchpoints without losing coherence, transforming the commercial into the primary communication asset for the launch.
